Terms of Service
Last updated: September 19, 2026
These terms govern your use of Kilter Money (the "Service"). By using it, you agree to them.
What Kilter Money is
Kilter Money is a personal-finance dashboard for tracking spending, fixed bills, income, and budgets. It's a tool for organizing information you provide. It does not connect to your bank, move money, or give financial, tax, or investment advice. Decisions you make based on the app are your own responsibility.
Your account
You're responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter and for keeping access to your email account secure, since sign-in uses an emailed one-time code. If you share your account with a household, you're responsible for who you invite.
The AI assistant connector
Kilter Money offers an optional connector (built on the Model Context Protocol) that lets an AI assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT read and log data in your account on your behalf, once you explicitly authorize it. See our Privacy Policy for exactly what access that grants. You're responsible for reviewing what the assistant does with that access. A write action it takes (logging an expense, creating a budget) is treated the same as if you did it yourself in the app. You can revoke the connection at any time.
Acceptable use
Don't use the Service to store data you don't have the right to store, attempt to access another user's or household's data, or interfere with the Service's normal operation (including its API or MCP connector).
No warranty
The Service is provided "as is." We work to keep it accurate and available, but we don't guarantee it will be error-free or uninterrupted, and we're not liable for financial decisions made using it.
Changes
We may update these terms as the Service evolves; we'll update the "last updated" date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the app.
