Delete your account
You can delete your Kilter Money account at any time. Deleting it erases your data for good, so if you want a copy of anything, save it first.
In the app
- Open Kilter Money and go to the You tab.
- Tap My account.
- Under Danger zone, tap Delete account and confirm.
On the web
- Sign in at app.kiltermoney.com and open My account.
- Under Danger zone, click Delete account and confirm.
By email
Can't sign in anymore? Email hello@kiltermoney.com from the address you use with Kilter Money and ask us to delete your account. We'll confirm it's you, delete everything, and reply when it's done, within 30 days.
What gets deleted
- Your sign-in and your profile (name and email address).
- Your categories, recurring bills, incomes, expenses, cards, budgets and receipt photos.
- Any connections to AI assistants like ChatGPT or Claude.
It happens right away, and it can't be undone. We don't keep a copy.
If you share a household
If you own the household, its data goes with your account and each member starts over with an empty account of their own. If you're a member, deleting your account only removes you. The household's data stays with its owner.
Only want to remove some of your data? You can delete single expenses, bills, incomes, cards and budgets in the app, or use Reset account under Danger zone to clear everything and keep your sign-in.
